Discovering OpenOffice

Writer Tools, from No Thick Manuals, is a set of tools that will extend the functionality of OpenOffice’s word processor - Writer.

Some of the functionality includes:

- Looking up words in various online dictionaries and other tools
- Translation
- Mapping
- Emailing and Remote backup
- Saving in multiple formats
- Timers, Word hunt games
- A database to dynamically store snippets and phrases

It is an OpenOffice extension and installation is simple, following the User Guide.
